WHO WE ARE
We're a group of fans, artists, cinephiles and designers who happen to think that all the negativity, hatred and animosity directed at Mr. George Lucas is troubling and repulsive. We banded together because we were sick of hearing that hateful message and sick of seeing it reflected in apparel directed at our fandom.
Rather than just get angry, we decided to do something about it. Unlike many pop culture t-shirt companies, we are actually run by fans, for fans. When you contact us, you won't be hearing back from some corporate drone unfamiliar with George Lucas and the fandom. You'll be speaking directly to one of us. Ultimately, we're more interested in building a community than we are a corporation.
For the record, we love the prequels, the special editions, and the original trilogy. We also love GL's pre-Star Wars films, THX-1138 and American Graffiti, and Indiana Jones of course. Heck, some us even have a soft spot for Radioland Murders!
WHAT WE'RE ABOUT
When we think of The Maker these are the first words that come to mind:
Pioneer. Maverick. Creator.
But Google the name "George Lucas" and the first search results you find will use very different adjectives. Ugly adjectives. And they'll usually invoke the term "Han Shot First" somewhere in the screed.
So we decided to provide a counterpoint message, a rallying cry against anger, fear, and aggression.
That counterpoint is our slogan, our logo, our entire company's raison d'etre: George Shot First.
And we want it to catch on. Because without George, there is no Star Wars. You don't have to love every single creative decision he's ever made or cherish every movie his name is on. But if you call yourself a fan of Star Wars, we believe you should at least show respect to the man responsible for creating it and fostering it for over thirty years.
WHO YOU ARE
This site is for anyone who has ever felt inspired, intrigued or challenged by the creative works of Mr. Lucas. It's for anyone who ever felt bullied or ridiculed for loving a work of art that some armchair critic has deemed unworthy. It's for anyone who would prefer to think for themselves, rather than join the bantha herd mentality of cynicism and snarkiness.
If you think George Lucas has gotten a raw deal from sections of the media and corners of the Internet, you've come to the right place. Welcome!
ABOUT THE APPAREL
When we think of our favorite director, we associate his films with a level of integrity, creativity and artistry that goes above and beyond the mainstream climate of "good-enough-filmmaking." Inspired by that mantra, we have been hard at work developing designs that we are proud to show off on premium streetwear manufactured and printed at only the highest levels of quality.
To that end, we have chosen 100% ringspun cotton shirts, renowned for both comfort and durability and capable of striking just the right balance between thickness and weight. All shirts are pre-shrunk and pre-washed before being shipped to you so that you can feel confident about the size and fit of your new apparel.
Similarly, our hoodies are 100% fleece cotton, which allows them to be incredibly soft and warm, yet also highly breathable. They're the perfect antidote for a cold, blustery day and they're rugged enough to last you decades rather than months.
Finally, every hat's logo is individually embroidered on a structured, high profile, six panel cap with a professionally stitched crown. Comprised of a wool and acrylic combination and six eyelets, these hats will keep your head safe from the elements no matter the season.
Regardless of which garment you order, you can be confident of receiving photo quality level prints and only CPSIA compliant inks. This is our way of ensuring that each design stays vibrant and legible for years to come.
In order to extend the life of your shirt or hoodie, we recommend turning it inside out when adding it to the washing machine and always keeping the wash cycle on the cold setting.
RETURN POLICY
Our policy is simple: If You Don't Like It, We Want To Fix It!
Email us at [email protected] and let us know why you don't like your shirt. If there was a printing error or a shirt defect, send us a photo and we will work with you to get a replacement at ABSOLUTELY NO COST TO YOU.
If you just decided it's not for you, that's OK too! We will provide you with an address to our warehouse. Ship it back to us in good condition within 30 days of receiving it and we will refund you the cost of that item. It's just that easy!
